Anat Wegier

Anat Wegier
Painter and multidisciplinary artist

Anat Wegier is an Israeli artist whose work explores memory, femininity, motherhood, trauma and resilience through figurative painting.

Her practice moves between two interconnected worlds: one rooted in domestic reality—rooms, sewing, dolls and inherited gestures—and another shaped by the symbolic language of fairy tales, mirrors, masks and sleeping figures. Through these parallel spaces, she examines how identity is formed, erased, repaired and passed between generations.

Wegier combines oil painting with digital processes and mixed media, creating images that move between intimacy and unease, biography and collective memory.

She studied philosophy and art history at Tel Aviv University, attended Metàfora in Barcelona and studied at the New York School of Art. Her work has been presented internationally in galleries, museums and art fairs, including CICA Museum in Korea, Green & Stone in London and Spectrum Miami.
